PURPOSE:To connect a waveform naturally even when the waveform is read while varied by reading 2nd waveform data which is switched from 1st waveform data out of a storage means when the crest value of waveform data is within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:An envelope generator 5 generates envelope data and a waveform ROM 6 is stored with waveforms A, B... by specific ranges. The output of a waveform ROM 6 is inputted to a multiplier 8 together with the output of the envelope generator 5 and a detecting circuit 7 detects whether or not the output of the waveform ROM 6 is within the specific range wherein waveform switching is possible according to the output of a CPU 3. Then the detection result is supplied to an address controller 4, which changes the address of the waveform data and supplies an address signal so that the 2nd waveform data to which the 1st waveform data A is switched is read out of the waveform ROM 6. Consequently, even when pitch varies, the waveform is varied smoothly matching variation in the pitch. |
