PURPOSE:To easily separate a knife-edge from the photosensitive drum when a conduction unit is elevated after the end of inspection by pressing the knife- edge across an elastic member. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive drum 2 is provided with a flange part 8 having an earth plate 7 at its lower end part and the conduction unit 1 is mounted above this drum 2. Then when the unit 1 is lowered and installed on the upper end of the drum 2, the knife-edge intrudes into the end surface of the drum 2 to reach a metallic base 9. Then a current is supplied between the knife-edge and earth plate 7 and it is judged whether or not the earth plate 1 is correctly pressed in. When the unit 1 is elevated after this continuity inspection, the drum 2 and knife-edge are separated with the elastic force of a leaf spring 6 which is compressed by the upper edge 11 of the drum 2. |
