PURPOSE:To obtain the optical switch which is free from an electric shock and delay in switching operation by constituting a connection part between an optical fiber and the optical by using plural division pieces so that a slit where a light shield body is inserted and extracted is provided. CONSTITUTION:The connection part 5 is formed of the plural division pieces by forming the slit in a connection base body 6 in a nearly rectangular parallelepiped shape from above, forming a right and a left nearly semicircular swelling part 9 almost at the center part of the outer surfaces of a right and a left connection base part upper end part 8, providing insertion holes 10 where ends of an optical fiber 1 are inserted in contact with the upper ends of the swelling parts 9 opposite each other, and then fitting a right and a left side part 12 where recessed parts 11 in conformity with the swelling parts 9 are formed on the right and left sides of the connection base part 6. The core 2 of the optical fiber 1 which is inserted into the optical fiber insertion hole is guided by the insertion groove 16 recessed in the swelling part 9 and bent at right angles, and its terminals face each other across the slit 7. Then the light shield body 19 is inserted into the slit 7 by pressing a push button 17 to cut off light between the terminals of the optical fiber 1. |
