PURPOSE:To preclude malfunction by discarding all pieces of communication information which are read out until fault processing end information is read out of a buffer storage device when a microprogram control part in a lower layer detects a fault. CONSTITUTION:When a fault detecting circuit 21i of one of microprogram control parts 31 - 3n which operate under the control of a microprogram control part 2 detects a fault, that is reported to the control part 2 and a fault generation display FF7i and an in-fault-processing display FF23i are set. At the same time, a microprogram control circuit 18 is informed and a fault processing routine is started. An interruption from a control part 3i to the control part 2 is inhibited thereafter. Then when recovery processing is performed and FF7i is reset, the state wherein an interruption can be initiated is re-entered. Consequently, communication data which are sent from the control part 3i where the fault occurs to the circuit 18 are sent out before the end of the fault and data which are not received by the circuit 18 yet are all discarded to preclude malfunction. |
