Exchanging device for lenses - to be tested for optical characteristic after coating in a vacuum chamber

Exchange method of test lenses to which a metalised coating is applied by a vaporisation in a vacuum chamber. In order to measure the lenses for optical characteristics they are successively removed and replaced by a following lens in a revolvable carousel magazine with a slotted periphery. A test lens holder hingeable attached to a drum surrounding the magazine is successively moved from a horizontal to a vertical position and also pivoted on its longitudinal axis by means of an eccentric cam and vertical spindle actuated by an operating knob.
