PURPOSE:To prevent a cathode from being creep-deformed by oxidizing a nickel porous body so that the weight after oxidation is increased than the weight before oxidation by the specific weight to constitute the cathode. CONSTITUTION:A nickel porous body is oxidized in advance for use as a cathode so that the weight increase by oxidation is within the range of 3-10% of the weight before oxidation. The anti-creep characteristic of the cathode is improved, the cathode is not creep-deformed in the temperature rise process and fastening process of a battery assembled with this cathode, thus the deterioration of the battery characteristic can be prevented. |
