<p>PURPOSE:To remove dust with a diameter of submicron order or smaller in the air and to effect deodorization and degassing as well by humidifying compressed feed air, expanding the air to cool it, causing the moisture to condense utilizing dust in the air as a core for condensation, and separating condensed droplets by means of a contrifugal separator. CONSTITUTION:Feed air is compressed by a compressor 3 and the compressed air is humidified at a humidifier 4. And said humidified air is expanded and cooled through an expansion turbine 5, whereby the moisture therein is caused to condense utilizing dust contained in said air as a core for condensation. Further, the condensed droplets are separated by means of a centrifugal separator 7. A generator 6 is driven by the expansion turbine 5 to generate electric power, which is supplied to the humidifier. As a result, dust in the air having diameter of submicron order or smaller can be removed and at the same time moisture therein can be removed. Further, deodorization and degassing of water soluble gas can be achieved.</p> |
