Continuous process for the formation of a non-silver photographic image by exposing a layer of a photosensitive compsn. applied on a support to a radiation which has passed across an image on a transparent base comprising regions of different optical densities so as to form in the photosensitive compsn. a latent image which is then developed in which (a) a uniform layer of the compsn. contg. a pigment or dye in a liquid polymer which is cross-linking by exposure to radiation is applied onto a support which is transparent to the radiation (b) the radiation is passed across the successive regions of an image on a transparent base before it cross-linked the liquid polymer (c) the successive regions of the layer of photosensitive compsn. are exposed and are registered with the corresponding successive regions of the image on the corresponding base so as to selectively cross-link the compsn. in proportion to the optical density of the image and (d) the non cross-linked parts of the compsn. are eliminated to have a cross-linked image on the support.
