PURPOSE:To enhance the purity of a treated solution and to eliminate coloration at the time of concn. by passing hydrochloric acid through an upper strong basic anion exchange bed and a lower weak acidic cation exchange resin bed to regenerate the lower bed before passing a regeneration solution through the upper bed. CONSTITUTION:The strong basic anion exchange resin and weak acidic cation exchange resin of a mixed bed type sucrose solution purifying apparatus are separated at each time when one cycle purifying treatment of a sucrose solution is performed. Subsequently, hydrochloric acid is passed through both of the upper strong basic anion exchange resin bed and lower weak acidic cationic exchange resin bed of the apparatus to regenerate the weak acidic cation exchange resin. Thereafter, a regeneration solution such as a caustic soda solution is passed through the strong basic anion exchange resin to perform regeneration. By performing the above mentioned regeneration, the swelling of the weak acidic cation exchange resin can be prevented and the electric conductivity of the treatment solutions is enhanced and trouble such as coloration at the time of concn. can be eliminated. |
