The invention relates to a support for a memory cassette intended to facilitate the adjoining of such a memory to an appliance in which a memory diskette is inappropriate. According to the invention, the support consists of an IC board producing the mechanical and electronic interface between the cassette CM and the buses of the said appliance; it includes an electronic interface IB for these buses, an electronic interface block B1 having a connector receiving an electronic interface for the cassette, at least one and preferably two internal memory blocks B2, B3 comprising supports receiving memory packages BM which can be configured by the user, a clock and storage block B4 comprising a time-and-date unit and registers associated with the cassette, a backup supply AE for the information from the internal memory and from the time-and-date unit, as well as internal buses and conductors linking the various stages. <IMAGE>
