PURPOSE:To obtain excellent mold release characteristics by allowing a mold release agent to contain therein, as an essential ingredient, a copolymer consisting of one or two or more specified monomers and one or two or more vinyl-polymerizable monomers copolymerizable with said specified monomers. CONSTITUTION:A mold release agent for powder molding is allowed to contain therein, as an essential ingredient, a copolymer AB consisting of one or two or more monomers A represented by the formula I and one or two or more vinyl-polymerizable monomers B copolymerizable with these monomers A. In the formula I, X represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, (k) represents an integer of 0 to 5, l and (m) represent an integer of 1 to 3, respectively, (n) represents an integer of 0 to 550, and Y represents a methyl group or a fluorine atom-containing substituent group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms. Since the copolymer AB for use has therein the fluorine atom-containing substituent group, it imparts excellent slip characteristics to a film that is formed, and since the copolymer AB has good solubility in an organic solvent, it can be easily formed into a uniform film. By this method, this mold release agent enables a molding to be smoothly removed from a mold having the film on its surface. |
