CONSTITUTION:When an input means 11 designates the correction of an electronic information file 14, the related information on a command area of the file 14 is displayed on a display means 13. At the same time, a deciding means 17 decides the presence or absence of the related information by reference to a control information area 15. If the absence of the related information is confirmed, the file 14 is directly corrected. When the presence of the related information is confirmed, the related information is read out of a related information file 16. Then a control/editing means 12 is locked via the means 17 in accordance with an uncorrectable state, etc. At the same time, the correction grant registration is also checked. In addition, the prescription and the history of correction are displayed by the means 13 to inhibit the correction of an important part, to check the correction ability, to display the necessary notable items, etc. Thus the miscorrection can be avoided and the quality of the correctable electronic information is surely prevented from being deteriorated.
