The process for the preparation, according to the invention, of a metal silicate of an alkali metal and of at least one other metal is of the type by bringing into contact and continuous reaction of an alkali metal silicate, of a solution of a salt of the other metal and of an organic liquid, and it is characterised in that, in a first stage, the alkali metal silicate and the organic liquid are brought together and mixed and then, in a second stage, the mixture obtained above is brought together with the solution of the salt of the other metal, at least one of the said stages being carried out continuously.
