PICTURE INFORMATION TRANSMISSION METHOD

PURPOSE:To improve the transmission efficiency of the picture information by securing such a constitution where each transmission subject controls dispersedly the transmission of the picture information and a broadcasting station deals with only the change of the type of the broadcast picture information when plural transmitters transmit the picture information by means of the broad cast of plural receivers. CONSTITUTION:The catalog transmission subject 1a-1n receive the catalog transmission requests from the picture information reception system 3A-3M of the households included in a receptable area of a TV broadcasting station 2 via a public telephone network 4. Thus the subjects 1a-1n transmit the broadcast picture ID lists forming a relevant catalog in each busy mode. Then the reception pictures are selected at the reception side based on the ID list even if the entry/secession of receivers occur frequently together with the change of the transmission contents. As a result, each of subjects 1a-1n can dispersedly control the transmission of the picture information. Then a broadcasting station is required just to deal with only addition/change of types of broadcast picture information. Thus an effective picture information transmission method is obtained.
