<p>PURPOSE:To save the space by using the handle of a photo-sensitive body, and thereby arranging a jam sensor and a connector to lead a signal from the sensor out to the control part of the printer body. CONSTITUTION:When a recording sheet begins being wound on a photo-sensitive body, it means that the sheet has just passed under a reflex type sensor 17 equipped at a handle 7, and the output light (a) from a light emitting element 17A is irregularly reflected by the recording sheet 12, and the amount of light received by a light receiving element 17B will decrease. This turns it off, and the jam sensing signal from a transistor 17C to the control part of the printer body through a connector 18 of the handle 7 will become at H level. Now this control part stops a main motor immediately as long as the printer body is in operation, so as to minimize the winding of the recording sheet on the photo-sensitive body. Thus the effect of eventual jamming is prevented upon a cleaning device, electrostatic charge, developing device, etc., which are situated in contact with or close to the photo-sensitive body.</p> |
