<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of a work in a reversing device for a rectangular plate work carried with a conveyor by respectively providing a lead screw type inverting conveyor in the outside of a bilateral pair of chain conveyors with carrying claws and a lead screw type turning backward conveyor between the carrying conveyors in the downstream of the investing conveyor. CONSTITUTION:The relation is established that lead of a lead screw 11 of a work turning backward part is larger than the fixing pitch of carrying claws 8 of a chain conveyor which is larger than the lead of lead screws 9, 10 of the inverting part, and a work 4 is carried with the carrying claws 8 of the chain conveyor. When the work 4 reaches the position A of the inverting part, the work is brought into contact with the crest of the lead screws 9, 10, and the front end of the cross direction of the work 4 is lifted by the action of the screw rotating toward the outside showed in the figure. The work is then inverted by the pitch difference between the carrying claws 8 and the screws 9, 10. Next, the lower end of the work 4 is caught by the crest of the lead screw 11, and is turned backward by the pitch difference to be reversed. With this structure, reversing can be performed at high speed without damage.</p> |
