PURPOSE:To reduce the number of training times and to enable it to be excited up to the vicinity of the critical point by making a superconductive coil have electromagnetic force distribution different from the magnetic force distribution made by a coil unit so as to excite it. CONSTITUTION:A superconductive coil is excited, being made to have electromagnetic force distribution different from the in-coil electromagnetic force distribution arising when an conductive coil is excited. That is, in case that currents l are made to flow to a superconductive coil 1, a magnetic field being made at the center A of the superconductive coil 1 is defined as H0, and a magnetic field being made at point B deviated from the center of the superconductive coil 1 is defined as H1. In this case, H0>H1, and also when the superconductive coil 1 has reached the critical point, a magnetic field arising at point A is defined as H1max, and a magnetic field arising at point B H0max, and flowing currents Ic, and magnetic fields arising from an external coil 3 h1 at point B and h0 at point A, whereupon h1>h0. If the currents of the superconductive coil 1 and the generated magnetic field of the external coil 3 are selected so as to be H0+h0<H1+h1, the electromagnetic force becomes stronger at point B than point A, and the line of point B shifts and point B becomes stable. Hereby, the property of the superconductive coil can be improved without quenching. |
