PURPOSE:To improve the responsiveness of the whole system by considering that a storage signal is not obtained even by storage up to maximum storage time unless a contrast value at the point of time when counting is performed for a specific set time is completed reaches a specific value, and quitting subsequent storage. CONSTITUTION:A counter 201 which counts the storage time outputs two kinds of signals To and Tmax (>To) and the output goes up to 'H' level when times set individually for them are elapsed; and a microcomputer 202 decides the contrast value when the signal To reaches the 'H' level to decide that the output of a photoelectric converting element array 101 is effective. It is considered that no effect is found in the storage signal even by storage up to the maximum storage time unless the contrast value at the point of time when the counting is performed for the specific set time reaches the specific value, and the subsequent storage is quitted. Consequently, no ineffective storage is performed and the responsiveness of the whole system can be improved. |
