A self sealing coupling suitable for temp. control fluids in an injection moulding machine has a socket and matching plug, both of which have a valve seat and body whose closure position is effected by a spring. The circular surface of the valve body and the annular valve seating surface surrounding it lie in a common plane. During the connecting operation of the fluid lines the valve bodies and seats of the plug and socket are mutually guided into each other to effect an open valve condition. Separation of the connector is leakage free and requires no additional constructional expense. In the coupled condition a constant cross-section is always achieved. USE/ADVANTAGE - The coupling is suitable for use in temp. control lines in plastics injection machines. Construction of the coupling is simpler and a constant cross-section provides uniform fluid flow and better temp. control.
