A guided missile (2) which is launched from a submarine, and which is used against helicopters, is carried to the surface in a vehicle (1) with a tubular housing (3). The housing (3) is provided with propellers (7, 8) driven by electric motors (6) which can be swung about transverse axes in order to control the direction of the vehicle (1). The force exerted by the propulsion system (5) and the direction in which this force acts, are so controlled that the recoil force of the missile rocket is counteracted and the vehicle (1) is stabilised as the missile (2) is launched.
