Embankments and flood dams - prepd. from rammed posts and rock filled netting based on plastic material

Embankments of rivers, canals and lakes and protective flood dams are constructed by driving posts (10) of wood, steel, concrete or plastic material in the soil. They carry caps (11) and rails (1:) of plastic material. Lengths of netting (14), made of monofilament strands or of braided cords of synthetic material with coarse meshses, are supported by the posts and are backfilled with broken rocks (18) and a top layer (19) of fine-grained material. The vegetationm mat (17) contains heater, reeds or synthetic fibres. ADVANTAGE - This combines a stable and erosion-proof embankment with an ecologically attractive "green" appearance.
