<p>PURPOSE:To smoothly carry out the opening/closing of an automatic document feeder even when a paper ejecting tray is provided by allowing the upper part paper ejecting tray to risen so that it does not abut the device when the automatic document feeder is opened and allowing the tray to come down to its original position when it is closed. CONSTITUTION:When a book or a document which is pasted together is placed on a contact glass 203, by pulling a paper ejecting unit 830 in an upper direction, the paper ejecting unit 830 is risen by the guiding effects of a supporting pillar 830a and a guiding body 840, and space in the upper direction of the automatic reverse document feeder (ADRF) 100 becomes wider. In such a state, the ARDF 100 is rotated in a counter clock wise direction with a rotation axis 130 as a center, and the paper ejecting unit 830 does not become a hindrance. After the document is placed in a specified position on the contact glass 203, the paper ejecting unit 830 is rotated in the clockwise direction with the oration axis 130 as a center making it a closed state, and when the paper ejecting unit 830 is pushed down and the paper ejecting unit 830 is returned to its original position, a carrying path of a transferring paper is just fitted. Thus, even when the paper ejecting tray is provided, the opening/closing of the automatic document feeder is carried out smoothly.</p> |
