The housing (5) for data acquisition tubes is coloured to contrast with an evaporation liquid. A grid (4) is mounted above the glass-plastic tube (3) similarly to a ladder with one rung equalling one unit. A start character (1) is beneath the ladder and an end character (2) above it. The ladder is coated with a thin plexiglass plate (7) to prevent fouling. A bar code (6) on the housing contains the number of the tube. USE/ADVANTAGE - Eliminates reading errors and reduces labour costs and and time associated with taking heating cost readings at low equipment cost.
