The control circuit provides the control signals for the electric motor (15) used to displace the sunroof between a defined open position and the closed position. The required sunroof opening position is defined by a pre-selection switch (13), with automatic closure of the sunroof initiated when the vehicle engine is switched off. A control signal output (14) of the control circuit (10) is coupled to a resetting device for the pre-selection switch (13), to bring the latter back to its zero position when the automatic closure of the sunroof is initiated.
