摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain arbitrary colour of luminescence and improve efficiency by arranging a single colour luminescent surface at one end part of a vacuum outer surrounding device and arranging an electron gun which emits nonconvergence electron beam at the other end part, forming the light supply of an immense display apparatus. CONSTITUTION:At one end of a vacuum outer surrounding device 1, the phase part 3 of which inner surface is coated with phosphor 2 is arranged, and on the other end, an electron gun 4 which emits rapid electron beam is arranged. When a heater 6 is heated, the electron beam 10 from a cathode 7 passes through the hole 9 of a grid 8 and forms nonconvergence beam having a prescribed spreading, and the fluorescent surface 2 emits light. Therefore, the use as a light supply having good efficiency is permitted, and the use of fluorescent substance having a variety of luminescent colours such as red, green, blue etc is permitted, and as the frequency response is good, even the display of moving picture can be facilitated with the use of an immense display apparatus.
