The test body has at least one point of reduced cross section, which is formed by one or two notches which have flat intersecting sides or curved sides. A perforation may be provided between the end or ends of the test body and the cross section reduction(s).. The test body or bodies are clamped into a test device, which is also provided with hooks located to suit the distance between the perforations in the test pieces. USE/ADVANTAGE - This invention is used for testing the effectiveness of spray sterilisers, which are used for disinfecting equipment and furniture in hospitals. It is proposed that the clamp which holds the test body should remain in the test device and that the ends of the test body should be removed after the sterilisation process is complete, so that the contamination introduced or retained by the clamp is eliminated. The accuracy of the test is therefore greatly increased.
