Transport device for paraplegic patient - consists of mat in form of endless belt on supporting frame

The device is for transferring a paraplegic patient from a bed to a stretcher or vice versa. It consists of a frame (1) which has an upper and a lower part with a gap between these two parts. A mat (9) in the form of an endless belt passes over the upper surface of the upper part of the frame and through the gap (12) between the two parts. When the frame is placed on a supporting surface the patient is placed on the mat (9) and can be moved in the direction of the arrow (10) whilst the frame remains stationary. Small versions of the device can be used for exercising a patient arms or legs. USE - Transport of paraplegic patients.
