PURPOSE:To enable precise measurement during about a half time for processing by extracting beads and cells on the beads in an image processing way, recognizing, measuring them and automatically deciding the cultivating condition of the cells by using an expert system. CONSTITUTION:The beads, to which the cells are stuck, are divided into groups based on the concentration value of the beads extracted from a source image. Then, the length of a part corresponding to an outer-most edge part, area quan tity and distances between the respective points of a center line and an outline are calculated and the obtained three kinds of respective calculated values are compared with standard values. Then, the beads are recognized as the cells. Concretely, the cells are loaded on slide glass on an XY-stage 2 and an image processing computer 4 is controlled through a common memory area 5 by a host computer 6. Then, the images of the beads are continuously automat ically processed according to a closed loop, for which a human being is not interposed, and the colored cells are decided by using the expert system. Thus, it can be achieved to automate the recognition of the cells and the cultivating condition of the cells can be decided more precisely in a short time. |
