PURPOSE:To obtain a resin, excellent in optical, mechanical characteristics, etc., and useful as optical disks such as exclusive reproductive use type or writing type by radically copolymerizing a monomer composition consisting of a specific radically polymerizable monomer and brominated styrene using ultraviolet rays. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin obtained by radically copolymerizing a monomer composition consisting essentially of 20-80wt.%, preferably 40-60wt.% radically polymerizable monomer expressed by formula I (R1 and R2 are H or methyl; n is 1 or 2) {e.g. bis(oxymethyl)tricyclo[5.2.1.0<2>,<6>]decane dicarylate} and 80-20wt.%, preferably 60-40wt.% brominated styrene (e.g. 2-bromostyrene) expressed by formula II (m is 1-3) using ultraviolet rays. |
