PURPOSE:To realize eye-proof with high safety by designing a drive circuit in such a way that it is activated or inactivated depending on the supply or interruption of a signal connected to earth respectively and supplying the signal connected to earth to an optical output connector only when the corresponsing optical input connector is connected to the optical output connector. CONSTITUTION:The drive circuit 11 is activated or inactivated respectively by applying or interrupting the signal connected to ground E in an optical communication equipment 10 to the drive circuit 11. Since the existing optical output stabilizing section feeds back a signal appearing at its output terminal Q to the drive circuit 11 for example, this is utilized so as to supply or interrupt the signal connected to earth E to/from the output terminal Q. An earth control line 18 is installed newly to the output terminal Q together with an inverter 20 and the other end is led to an earth contact section 19. The earth contact section 19 gives a signal from the inverter 20 grounded only after the optical output connector 13 and the optical input connector 14 are connected to the output terminal Q, drives the drive circuit 11 and produces an optical output Sout from a converter 12. |
