PURPOSE:To obviate the dyeing and deterioration of a fixing roller at the time of fixing and to provide the excellent offset resistance of a wide fixing region by incorporating pigments and dyes as coloring agents into the color toner contg. a specific styrene resin and the coloring agents as a binder resin. CONSTITUTION:This color toner contains at least the styrene resin and the coloring agent as the binder resin. This styrene resin has at least one max. at <10000 mol. wt. and has no max. at >=10000 mol. wt. in the mol. wt. distribution by GPC, and the ratios of the areas A to C of the rate of <10000, 10000 to 50000, over 50000 in mol. wt. distribution are respectively 55 to 80%, 5 to 25%, 5 to 20%, and the Tg (glass transition points) of the respective range, designated as TgA and TgB+C are respectively 70 deg.C>TgA>50 deg.C, 65 deg.C>TgB+C >50 deg.C. The binder resin contains at least the pigments and dyes as the coloring agents. The dyeing and deteriorating of the fixing roller are obviated and the excellent offset resistance is obtd. |
