PURPOSE:To execute built-in diagnosis and to obtain a sufficient analytic result by directly reading out the status of respective devices in a CPU in addition to the analysis of the built-in diagnosis from collected storage information when a fault occurs. CONSTITUTION:When a fault occurs due to a failure or the like in a circuit during the operation of respective devices in the CPU 1 and a part of the devices or the whole devices are disabled to operate, a built-in diagnostic analysis part 4 executes the built-in diagnosis of the fault information stored in a fault information storage part 2 through a diagnostic control part 3. In addition, the analysis part 3 directly reads out information from the device in which the fault occurs in the CPU 1 through a diagnostic path connected between the CPU 1 and the diagnostic control part 3 and executes the built-in diagnosis. Two results, i.e. a storage information analytic result and a direct reading information analytic result are reported to the control part 3, which stores these results and informs the stored results to a diagnostic operation part 5. Consequently, when information is directly read out, all the information can be observed and more sufficient analytic result can be obtained. |
