A machine 1 for cooking a scrambled egg mixture contained in a sealed bag, comprises a bath 16 of hot fluid, conveying means (2, 4, 6, 8, 24, 26, 28), arranged to convey the sealed bag through the bath of hot fluid to cook the scrambled egg mixture contained in the bag, and pummelling means 42A, B, C, D, arranged to contact the bag to encourage movement of the scrambled egg mixture within the bag to assist the scrambled egg mixture to cook throughout. The machine may include a further pummelling section (1B) and a chilling section (1C) (Figs. 1B, 1C not shown). The bag may be of polypropylene or PVC. <IMAGE> |
