<p>The syphon tube (11) is connected at its outlet end (13) to a rigid pipe (14), either directly or by means of a rotating joint. The pipe (14) placed on a rigid support (20) can oscillate about a horizontal axis (15) as a result of the play of a counterweight (16). The upward displacement of the pipe (14) is limited by an upper stop (17) and the downward displacement by a lower stop (18), in such a way that, when the syphon discharges above its critical flow, the pipe (14) is inclined so as to bear on the lower stop (18) and that, when the flow reaches the critical flow, the pipe (14) empties and comes into abutment on the upper stop (17) as a result of the play of the counterweight (16). An increase of the load in the region of the upstream end (12) of the syphon tube (11) results in a rise of the water in the pipe (14), until its unbalance once again brings about the inclined position on the lower stop (18) and, when a critical flow is established, makes it possible to expel the degassing bubbles accumulated at the high point of the syphon tube (11). …<IMAGE>… </p> |
