1278852 Sealing strip for vehicles DR-ING HCF PORSCHE KG 3 June 1970 [10 June 1969] 26741/70 Heading E1J A sealing strip arranged between two relatively movable structural members of a vehicle, e.g. between a sliding window 9 and a body panel 5, comprises a resilient strip 26 provided on its sealing surface 28 with a layer 29 of wear-resistant synthetic material having a low coefficient of friction which functions as a lubricant, the synthetic material being selected from the polyamides or fluorocarbons. The layer 29 is preferably a foil, between 0.05 mm. and 0.2 mm. thick, and is attached to the strip 26 by glueing or vulcanizing. As shown, the strip 26 is hollow and is mounted on the body panel 5. A modified strip may be mounted on a removable roof top for sealing contact with the body panel 5 (Fig. 2, not shown). |
