PURPOSE:To obtain excellent deodorizing effect regardless of the contact condition with acidic or basic malodorous gas being forcible or non-forcible by constituting a deodorant composition of a specific composite high molecular electrolyte and an aldehyde compound. CONSTITUTION:By preferably combinedly using 6 to 9C saturated or unsaturated aliphatic aldehyde or 0 to 3C saturated aliphatic dialdehyde compound and a composite salt type high molecular electrolyte represented by formula I, excellent deodorizing power is shown to acidic malodorous hydrogen sulfide and basic malodorous ammonia especially under environment said to be non-forcible recirculation. In the formula I, X1, X2 and X3 may be respectively same or different and hydrogen or a methyl group, Y1 and Y2 may be respectively same or different and hydrogen, a hydroxymethyl group or a hydroxyethyl group; 0.0099<=(a)<=0.4999, 0.0001<=(b)<=0.25, 0.01<=(a)+(b)<=0.5, 0.5<=(c)<=0.99, (a)+(b)+(c)=1, and 10000<=(n)<=300000. |
