PURPOSE:To obtain a three-dimensional ultrasonic image using the necessary min. number of frame memories by respectively altering the display origin positions of images corresponding to the linear movement of an ultrasonic probe in the direction crossing a B-mode scanning surface to record the same on the corresponding addresses of a frame memory. CONSTITUTION:A rotary encoder 3 detecting the angle A of rotation of an ultrasonic vibrator 2 and a linear encoder 4 detecting the linear moving distance at every scanning of an ultrasonic probe 1 are connected to the ultrasonic probe 1. X- and Y-coordinates buffers 9, 10 receive the input of X-and Y- coordinates obtained by subjecting the angle of rotation of the ultrasonic vibrator 2 to coordinates conversion by a coordinates converting circuit 8 and the linear moving distance of the probe 1 to determine the offset value of the origin position set to an ultrasonic tomographic image to be displayed and inputs X- and Y-coordinates to a frame memory 7 on the basis of the display origin position. In the frame memory 7, the data signals related to the ultrasonic tomographic image are renewed or recorded on the addresses corresponding to the X- and Y-coordinates in a superposed state and outputted to a CRT to become a three-dimensional ultrasonic image. |
