Manufacture of light, hollow, profiled bodies, particularly building construction elements, by placing plywood tubes in an enclosed space of shape corresponding to that of the desired profiled body, and introducing a rigid resin (e.g. polystyrene or polyurethane) foam in the space defined by the outside of these tubes and the inner surface of the enclosed space, or by filling this space with a material of loose cavity-containing structure e.g. woodchips, shacings, glass fibres, slag wool etc., and bonding it suitably with a hardening resin (e.g. phenolic, vinylidene chloride, copolymer dispersion, etc.). |
