<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a binding margin having a desired width by providing offset value scale on a manual insertion paper feed tray in a direction orthogonal to a paper feed direction so as to allow copying sheets to be fed being precisely shifted by a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:In order to feed paper sheets so as to set a desired binding margin with the use of a manual insertion tray 31, first copying sheets are loaded between guides 32, 33 so as to make one side end of the copying sheets abut against an abutting part 32b of the guide 32. In this condition, the position of the guide 32 is adjusted so as to align the edge of offset value scale indicating the size of the desired binding margin on scale 40 formed in a horizontal part 33a of the guide 33, with the one side end of the copying sheets P. At this time it is confirmed that the abutting part 32b of the guide 32 abuts against the one side end of the copying sheets. With this arrangement, a desired offset is given to the copying sheets which is therefore guided thereby, and accordingly, it is possible to obtain a desired image bearing medium.</p> |
