PURPOSE:To obtain a highly ion-conductive thin film by packing in the holes of a solid high molecular porous thin film a complex body of a compound of molecular weight 150-400 with an alkaline metallic salt, the compound being based on a structure where ethylene oxide and propylene oxide are singly or complexly converted to a trimer or tetramer. CONSTITUTION:Polyolefine of super high molecular weight is heated and dis solved in a liquid parafine by 1 to 15wt.% so as to form a uniform solution. A sheet is formed from the solution and is allowed to gel by sudden cooling and its solvent is extracted therefrom by a volatile solvent so that the solution is converted to 10 to 90wt.%, and the sheet is heated at temperatures below the melting point of polyolefine and, as the sheet is stretched, the solvent is similarly extracted and removed, thereby forming a porous thin film. A complex body of a compound of predetermined structure and predetermined molecular weight such as CH3O-(C2H4O)-H and the like with LiF is used as an ion conduc tor and is finely dispersed in the solvent while being dissolved in the solvent, and the porous thin film is impregnated therewith, so that a film of very little ohmic loss is obtained which is particularly effective for use in high capacity primary and secondary batteries. |
