PURPOSE:To reduce the height of a fastening device and to realize a compact size by providing a means to remove a flexible member other than the part to keep a fuel cell stack in the fastening condition while keeping the fastening condition by the part of the flexible member. CONSTITUTION:At first, the length of fastening bolts 9 is regulated to make a bellows 3 for operation and a bellows 7 for baking in a contracted condition respectively, and to act the extending forces of the both bellows collectively from the upper side to a stack 1 and fasten it, and they are fixed to prevent the extension of the distance between a lower fastening plate 4 and a fastening plate 8 for baking. Then, nitrogen gas is fed to the bellows 3 and 7 respectively, and the pressure is regulated to make the fastening surface pressure of the stack in a specific value. As the height of the stack is contracted during the baking, the height of the bellows 3 and 7 are extended and the fastening force in the baking can be maintained constant. After the baking operation is over, the interval between the fastening plate 4 and an upper fastening plate 5 is regulated to make the bellows 3 in the contracted condition by fastening bolts 6 for operation, and the bolts 6 are fixed. And after that, the gas pressure is released only from the bellows 7, and the bellows 7, the fastening plate 8, and the bolts 9 are removed. |
