摘要 PURPOSE:To easily perform the anastomosis of a hollow organ by making the subject appliance hard to slide at the time of the contact with the tissue of a living body by constituting the appliance of a biologically absorbable material and forming the outer surface layer thereof into a porous structure and providing a hard non-porous layer on the inside of said surface layer. CONSTITUTION:As a biologically absorbable material constituting an appliance, various aliphatic polyesters, chitin, collagen and polyamino acids are designated. The appliance 1 has a porous layer 2 as an outer surface layer and also has a hard non-porous layer on the inside of the layer 2 and the non-porous layer 3 has a thickness imparting sufficient rigidity to the whole of the appliance. In case of the anastomosis of a hollow organ such as a blood vessel or an intestine, for example, the appliance 1 is applied to the hollow organ 4 on the outside thereof at a position slightly inside from the end part of said organ 4 and the end part thereof is turned over to bring the appliance to a state held by the outer surface of the hollow organ and the turned-over part is covered with other hollow organ 5 and the circumference of the organ 5 is tied by a suturing yarn 6. Since the outer surface of the appliance 1 has a porous structure, there is proper unevenness on the outer surface and proper friction is generated between the outer surface and the tissue of a living body to facilitate the fixing of the appliance to the anastomotic part.
