The invention concerns a device for removing snow and ice from overhead power lines, comprising a body 1,2 of electrically insulating material, two bent loops 7,8 of plate-shaped material which are fixed at a distance apart on the body for suspension on the power line, fixing points 13,14 for cables 15,16 on the body and a peg 5 on the body, which peg extends downwards away from the body when the bent loops 7,8 are suspended on the power line.
