Novel automatic sole-press machine for gluing the soles of shoes to the vamp or instep of said shoes. Perfect adherence is obtained without folds or superpositions. The machine has two planar-type rubber membranes which compress the sole onto the vamp with pressures which are greater than atmospheric pressure. <IMAGE>
