An electromagnetic feeder driven by a conventional electromagnetic vibrating apparatus is vibrated at the vibrational number of 50 Hz or 60 Hz of commercial power source, and therefore, in the case of a large type feeder, vibrational noises are violent and unpleasant, posing an environmental problem. The apparatus of the present invention comprises a movable core (12) secured to one mass (7) of two masses (7) and (4) connected by a resilient member (5), two fixed cores (13) and (13') secured to the other mass (4) so that said fixed cores are positioned on opposite sides of said movable core (12), two exciting coils (15) and (15') wound about said two fixed cores, and a control circuit for alternately applying a phase-controlled current to said exciting coils, the mass (7) to which said movable core (12) is secured being connected to the object to be vibrated. Thereby, since the vibration frequency of the movable core (12) is half of the power source frequency, unpleasant sounds caused by the vibrations can be greatly reduced. In addition, since the current can be lowered to approximately one half, energy savings are attained.
