PURPOSE:To obtain such a breaker that one kind of equipment is applicable to a plurality of load equipment models by providing a setting switch to select a reference value for a load current and controller making a microcomputer store the reference value, decide compliance with setting and control tripping. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 11 reads a code signal Salpha from a current setting switch 12 and a code signal Sbeta from an equipment model setting switch 13. When the content of the signal Sbeta coincides with some of equipment model data of contrast codes of a micro-computer memory, the equipment model data of an applicable code is selected and set. When the content of the signal Salpha coincides with some of reference value contrast codes of the whole memory, the reference value of an applicable code is selected and set. When neither of the signals Salpha and Sbeta coincides with memory contrast codes, an emergency alarm is set off. After that, a digital value corresponding to a detection signal Si of an A/D converter 10 is read, and when it is less than a reference value to be set, the operation is completed, while when it is in excess of the reference value, the microcomputer 11 makes a a thyristor 15 turn ON, a trip device 14 is operated, and main circuit contacts 4a-4d are opened. |
