PURPOSE:To select a proper moving vector by generating plural proper moving vectors for picture elements forming an output field or frame from plural original moving vectors. CONSTITUTION:A video frame is fed directly to a block matching means 3 from a sequential scanning conversion means 2 to generate correlation plane. The correlation plane is analyzed by a moving vector evaluation means 4 to generate a moving vector. Then the brightness matching of picture elements is applied in a moving vector reduction means 5 and a moving vector evaluation means 6 and the moving vector relating to each picture element is introduced from plural moving vectors based on the result of matching. Then two frames most similar to the output frame are compared tentatively. Then the moving vector relating to respective picture elements of the output frames is introduced by the comparison. |
