PURPOSE:To easily switch the mode to the test mode by storing a test program which switches the execution mode of a normal application program to the test mode and starting the test program in accordance with the code input from an input part. CONSTITUTION:When a medium A like a bill or a check is inserted from an inserting part 1, a control part 9 carries the medium A in accordance with a program in an application program part 8a, and data is read by a front face data reading and recognizing part 3 and a rear face data reading part 4. The front face position of the medium A is sealed by a sealing part 5 and the medium is stored in a storage part 6. When a peculiar code for switching to the test mode is inputted to a data input part 7, a test program part 8c is started, and the control part 9 controls each part in accordance with the test program. Simultaneously, a test menu is displayed on a display part. |
