PURPOSE:To ensure thrust of a center pin and realize smooth cutting by a cutter cylinder, for a deep hole processing hole cutter, by configuring a center pin so as to be locked at starting of boring and subsequently retreated into the cutter. CONSTITUTION:A cutter cylinder 11 is installed on a shank 13 by means of a screw 11a. A center pin 16, with its rotation controlled by a control screw 21 after being energized by means of a spring 15, is provided and can slide inside the shank 13. At starting of boring, the center pin 16 is locked to the shank 13 due to insertion of a lock pin 24 into a recessed part 22, and a processing face is bored by a drill blade 17 at the tip of the shank 13. When a bearing member 27 is advanced subsequently, a movable cylinder 25 united with said member 27 is also advanced and stopper ball 40 is inserted in a positioning groove 37 on the right. At this time, an escape groove 26 inside the movable cylinder 25 falls in with a lock pin 24, which is moved outside and a lock of the center pin 16 is released. |
