COMPOSITE POLYMER MEMBRANE FOR SEPARATING GAS MIXTURE AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To prepare a composite polymeric membrane having good mechanical characteristics and high level permeability by forming a polymeric porous base based on a specified oxide and a polymeric selective layer. CONSTITUTION: The composite polymeric membrane consists of a polymeric porous base comprising poly-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-phenylene oxide and a polymeric selective layer formed from polyamidoimide of formula I [where (n) is 140-220] or from an interpolymeric equimolar complex of the polyamidoimide and polyvinylpyrrolidone. The membrane has favorable mechanical characteristics, high level permeability and high selectivity to the separation of gaseous mixtures He/N2 and O2 /N2 .
